Sashimi Gold

January, 2014. Japan is Powder Heaven, there is no question about that. We spent 17 days in Japan this year and it snowed every one of those days with a total snowfall just over 3m... thats insane. It was our fourth time back and this time we got what we came for and more. Easily one of the deepest days skiing we've ever had and on an uncrowded mountain, it doesn't get any better than that!

Hokkaido Drift

January, 2013. Skiing in Japan. Highly regarded as the best powder skiing on earth and I couldn't agree more.

This video was entered into Britain's Got Skiers 2013 video competition and came out on top as the "Overall Best Edit" winner.

Surfing in Baler, Philippines

Summer, 2013.

There are many surf spots to go in the Philippines but they are becoming incredible popular due to the high quality of waves and cheap Island life. Baler, a lesser known spot has less crowds but still has high quality waves. The locals there were super friendly and happy to show us around to the best spots and give us pointers along the way.

Summer Docking

Summer, 2011. Another Hong Kong summer, another edit - new locations that include the Rock Pools in Sai Wan and Shek O beach area mixed with old favourites from Tai Tam. Brand new angles were used and more talents are decorated throughout and many weekends later I came up with this fast upbeat edit.

852 Waters

Summer, 2010.  Bridge jumping and diving boards were the make up of the 2010 Hong Kong summer. The short edit was filmed at Tai Tam Reservoir Country Park and the LRC; tucked away up in mid-levels.

Hong Kong Rugby Tens

April, 2012. Each year, Hong Kong Football Club hosts what can only be described as the best Rugby 10s tournament in the world. Teams from all over the world come to play, many of which have ex international players on their teams either coaching or playing. The standard gets higher and higher each year with 2013 being no exception. Its a great event leading straight into the world renowned Hong Kong Rugby 7's weekend making it a week of rugby not to be missed

Bali Rugby Tens

October, 2012. 10 years ago, Bali experienced a terrible bombing where 27 people were killed. Many of which were rugby players, fans and friends that had attended the Bali Rugby Fest in 2002. This year I went along to the event to commemorate the 10 anniversary of the bombing and film the event with the boys from Tsunami Sport.

The event was fantastic as many teams returned from 10 years ago and many more joined the festivities. The games were played in great spirit and everyone was having a good time. I had a couple days before the tournament to go see what Bali had to offer. Surf, sun, great food and great times.

Coca Cola Advert

March, 2012. For every rugby fan, both local and worldwide, the annual pilgrimage to the Hong Kong Sevens is often the highlight of the year. As the last weekend of March draws near Hong Kong whips up into a fever of excitement as the fans descend upon Hong Kong and the local watering holes over flow.

In the weeks prior, I was lucky enough to be asked by Coca Cola to shot a 15-second advert that was to be played on the stadium’s giant screen. It was a rugby themed edit and with friends as the actors this year was a certainly a weekend to remember.

Warrior, Muay Thai

April, 2012. Produced a new video for the launch of Warrior's new Muay Thai gym in Hong Kong.

Coastal Fitness

January, 2012. A promotional video for Coastal Fitness, a rapidly growing personal training business in Hong Kong. None of the athletes are actors - all pain and sweat is real!

Hobbit's Adventure

February, 2013. A short commercial for Tsunami Sport under the tag line, "How far would you go...". The commercial delves into the extreme levels somebody would go to get the perfect kit.

Memories of War - The Capture

September, 2012. For years my Grandfather wouldn't talk about his war experiences and I was amazed to discover that my Dad really only knew the bare bones of his story. It was only recently, when we (the grand kids) started asking questions, did he start talking about his experience before getting comfortable enough to write down his memoirs. The stories seem endless; it only feels right to capture his experiences from being captured by the Germans, his eventual escape after learning Italian through a English-Italian dictionary before  skiing out the remainder of the war in Switzerland.

He might be 93 but tells a good story

Memories of War - The Hospital

January, 2013. Part 2 of my Grandpa's World War II story takes place in a Hospital in Italy where he was held as a Prisoner of War. Learning Italian through the daily newspapers and a English-Italian dictionary would prove to be a life saving endeavour.

Memories of War - The Escape

September, 2013. This is the third and final story of my Grandad's World War Two experience. This story begins where the last one left off, in hospital trying to find a way out.

While in hospital he saw a noticeboard with a message saying "Wanted: British POWs to work in the neighbourhood", so he took the chance and ended up in a farm with two of his friends from hospital. From here it was a matter of finding a way to escape the farm and make his way to Switzerland. Along the way he and his two friends encountered more than a few problems and the tale of his escape is one that leaves a lot of emotion and hardship behind. This is my favourite part of the story, and one I won't ever forget.

Kickerbocker Glory

September, 2013.  Following the success of my Grandfathers story's of WWII I switched sides and documented a whole new side of the war from my Grandmother.

My mum came to me with a story of her mother she wanted to be filmed. In comparison its a much more lighthearted story, even though it still contained bombs and explosions. As my mum finished the story, instead of being taken aback by the experience like I did with my Granddad, we both laughed. I wont spoil the video for you, but the ending was not what I was expecting to happen.

Saint

November, 2012. Official video for the single Saint by Jade Hopcroft

I went back to the UK in September and was lucky enough to be able to help shoot the music video for Jade's new single "Saint". The video was shot in a single day and we were lucky enough to have perfect weather for the shoot. It was a pleasure to help make her vision see the light of day and she was a joy to work with!

You can support and pre-order her single "here". I recommend you do.

Weddings

 Joe & Charlotte

Joe, a good friend of mine from Hong Kong, asked if I would film him and Charlotte on their special day and it was too good an opportunity to miss. An introduction to wedding videography is hard enough in itself but doing it for your friends makes it so much easier.

After planing what I wanted to capture months in advance, when it came down to the day everything moved so fast that I just had to work with what was in front of me!

It was an absolute pleasure being able to share this day with Joe and Charlotte and I hope they have a wonderful life together.

I am a freelance video producer

I started off with the original GoPro to document my adventures with my friends and family from all over the globe. That soon turned into a passion and although the GoPro - now updated to the Hero 2 - still has a role I now mainly use my Canon 7D & 5D Mark III for most of my work. I love to capture all the exciting moments and experiences in life with my friends and try to reproduce that vibe in my videos.

I have now extended into freelance videography where I try to create the same feeling and vision for all my clients. The majority of my productions have been based around sport but I have readily embraced other projects such as fashion and music. I can offer a full creative service from conception to production and am happy to tailor my services according to requirements.

Feel free to touch base regarding any projects you might have.
